Accreditation is not a badge we award ourselves. Each one below is issued by an independent body, has a scope that defines exactly what it covers, and has to be renewed.
PAS 2030:2023
Certified
PAS 2030 is the British Standard that governs how energy efficiency measures are installed in existing buildings. Certification is assessed by an independent certification body and is a requirement for installers delivering measures under government-backed retrofit schemes.
What this means for you
Your installation is carried out to a published national standard rather than to whatever the installer considers good enough. The work is auditable, the certification body can be asked to verify it, and if a measure is delivered under a government scheme the certification is what makes that funding possible.
TrustMark is the government-endorsed quality scheme for work carried out in and around the home. Registered businesses are vetted against standards covering technical competence, customer service and trading practices, and are subject to ongoing monitoring.
What this means for you
You get a route to independent recourse that does not depend on the goodwill of your installer. Registered work is recorded on the TrustMark Data Warehouse, and TrustMark can step in if something goes wrong — which matters most on exactly the kind of work you cannot inspect once it is finished.

Insurance Backed Guarantee
Accredited installer
An insurance backed guarantee (IBG) is a policy that stands behind an installer’s written workmanship guarantee. Energy Giants is accredited under the Bluedrop Insurance Backed Guarantee Facility as an Accredited Installation Management Company, which means we can issue IBG policies on our installations through the Bluedrop scheme. Bluedrop Services (NW) Limited is an insurance broker authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, and is authorised by TrustMark to issue IBGs for measures delivered under the government ECO4 scheme.
What this means for you
A written guarantee is only as good as the company behind it. If an installer ceased trading during the guarantee period, an ordinary guarantee would go with it. With an IBG, an insurer takes on the obligations of that written guarantee for its remaining term, so the protection does not depend on the installer still existing. Ask for the policy document with your handover pack and keep it with your other paperwork.
Every accreditation has a scope — the specific measures it covers — and an expiry date. A certificate that does not name the measure being installed on your home does not cover that work, however impressive the logo looks. We publish our certificate numbers and scopes above so you can check them directly with the issuing body rather than taking our word for it.
If you are getting quotes from more than one installer, asking each for their certificate number and the measures it covers is the single most useful question you can put to them.
